The First big push North...440miles from Eureka to Portland Oregon

The I5 Interstate Highway..three lane traffic mile after mile after mile!

After careful consideration of my stay the following morning,  my advice is based on my experience 

Do your best not to book you or your family into a certain quick and easy Budget Motel on the outskirts of town.., I know you may think its a good deal at $30 per person as the motel owner is across between Walter pigeon and and ginganggooley, and as an added bonus.. 

The Motel caretaker and wife are also a terrific example of what happens and why cousins should never marry!!!

Said that, This little gem was just down the from said motel paradise and although a good improvement on the first port of call, the morning after we decided to adopted our own hotel accreditation & endorsement for the trip!

 Instead of star ratings we have

 introduced the National Board of DEET accreditation.

Nice weather.. and just across the road the local eatery a cross between Club Tropicana and the Portland Karaoke championships

So If your ever in the area or on holiday don't bother..in fact if you do decide to come to the west coast of America 

 Its a good idea to treat yourself to a AAA map available from any garage..usually found by,  or over the counter! It could be a good idea to buy yourself a pair of quality scissors and cut a nice circular hole around Portland!

A cheap and effective way to avoid upsetting you and your family!

I think I'll leave it there as were are off to Mount St Helens Volcano the next day! Really looking forward to that!
