Mountains Water Ice Gravel and Cows!

We ride from Dawson Creek head for Jasper Ski resort travelling through the Jasper National Park A bit of a relief as the mileage is short today 180 miles

The over night stay is in the middle of Jasper and we are all looking forward to the views expected to greet us when we get to in the Park

The over night stay is in the middle of Jasper

The one noticeable difference is the temperature the sun is belting down and the view are more than expected.
As I’ve mentioned before it seems around every corner there is something to photograph.

Welcome to Jasper

Just few piccies before we land at our Digs for the night!!
We have a meal and an early night before we then head off to Banffthe following
day!
I’m quite surprised with Jasper concerning the number of tourists in town, the place is
packed with coach loads of Japenese takin gazillions of photos..

The Alabaster Falls these are fed by meltwater from the greatly thawing Alabaster Glacier just around the corner of the mountain..
This was just fantastic , the energy here was incredible I could feel the ground

The perfect rainbow from the water tiny droplets of spray!

Heading on we ride on the way to Banff passing this!

So we take a look at the Alabaster Glacier and take the slow 30 minute hike up the side of the mountain in Motorcycle gear !

The vast Alabaster glacier..Where I took this photo was where the
Glacier was in 1996
The Glacier is receding at an alarming rate!  And the state government charge for visitors for anything in the name anti global warming. These natural wonders are exploited for all their might..By charging an entrance fee they're funding the fight to save the planet! .Of course after seeing this glacier its is alarming to see the reduction in its size.. and it does open your eyes to such things!! But I see that America and Canada are full of contradictions, Petrol 10% ethanol added to unleaded fuel so to reduce emissions from vehicles, even the plastic fuel containers (the type we use for garden equipment)have anti fume vents on them to stop fuel evaporating into the atmosphere!! But the roads are full of 4,5,6 & 7 litre pickup trucks!..

The top of the Alabaster Glacier as seen by road! As we ride on
We are surrounded even more beautiful scenery

This is what causes all that water at the Falls!!

Welcome to Banff

Hotel for the night
This is where Sue and Faye and I went Skiiing some years ago! Our
 Favourite Chocolate shop
 Selling lovely goodies
The Coach park Red hot today! freezing cold the last time We were there!
 Banff  was Busy Busy Busy
 And I remember those ribs!!
After Banff We head of to a town called waterman within the Glacier National Park! there seems a never ending supply of glaciers over here!!

Oh the scenery
Here there everywhere..

Waterton is a small town planted right inside the Glacier park..Its very pretty and apparently the place where most travellers go to to get away from the summer madness of Jasper and Banff!
 Waterton is lovely
On the way to Waterton we have the option to take some dirt roads and enjoy a change of road surface..

Apologies for the *!%$*

Vrooom!
